Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information we collect when you use this website, how we use and protect it, and the choices you have. It applies to information you give us directly (for example when you create an account, place an order or send us a message) and to limited technical information the website needs to function.
1. Information we collect
Depending on how you use the website, we may collect:
- Account details — your name, email address and password when you create an account; sign-in is handled by our authentication service.
- Profile and delivery details — your contact details and saved delivery addresses used to fulfil orders.
- Order details — the products you order, quantities, delivery method, and the payment status of your order.
- Payment-related information — for bank-transfer payments we record the payment reference and status so your order can be verified. We do not accept card payments on this website and we do not collect or store card numbers.
- Messages and requests — the name, email and message you send through the contact form, plus service bookings, product reviews, stock alerts and newsletter subscriptions.
- China import requests — the details and quotations of import-from-China requests you submit, and payment records and any payment receipt image you upload for those requests.
- Anonymous usage statistics — aggregated counts of product page views and search terms, described in section 5.
2. How we use your information
We use your information to create and manage your account, process and deliver your orders, verify payments, answer your messages and support requests, manage returns and refunds, and keep you informed about the orders you place. Newsletter addresses are used only to send store updates, and you can stop receiving them at any time. We do not sell your personal information.
3. How it is stored and protected
Your data is stored in our Supabase database, which is accessed over encrypted (HTTPS) connections and protected by database-level access rules so that customers can only read and change their own records. Payment receipt images you upload are stored privately and are visible only to you and authorised store administrators. We grant staff access to customer and order information only as far as their role requires. No system can be guaranteed perfectly secure, but we design our storage and access controls to keep your data private.
4. When information is shared
We share the minimum information necessary, and only with:
- Payment providers — banks and payment services, to verify payments you make or refunds we issue;
- Delivery services — the name, address and phone number needed to deliver your order when your order is handed over for delivery;
- Service infrastructure — our database, authentication and image-hosting providers that operate this website.
We may also disclose information where required by law. We do not otherwise share or sell your personal information to third parties for their own marketing.
5. Cookies, browser storage and analytics
This website does not use advertising cookies or third-party advertising trackers. It does use browser storage that is necessary for the site to work: your sign-in session is kept in your browser so you stay logged in, and your shopping cart is kept on your device. For product analytics we record anonymous, aggregated statistics — how many times a product page was viewed and which search terms are used — using a random identifier that is removed when you close your browser and is never linked to your name, email or account. These statistics cannot be used to identify you personally.
6. Data retention
We keep order, payment and delivery records for as long as needed to service your orders, handle returns and refunds, and meet our accounting and legal obligations. Contact messages are kept while we handle your request. Newsletter subscriptions are removed when you unsubscribe. Anonymous, aggregated statistics are kept only as totals and do not identify individuals. When information is no longer needed, it is deleted.
7. Your privacy rights
You can view and update your account details and saved addresses by signing in to your account. You can also ask us to give you a copy of the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it — for example when you close your account — by contacting us. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request, and some records may be kept where accounting or legal obligations require it.
8. Contacting us about your data
For any privacy question or request, contact our support team through the contact page, by phone, or by email:
